Our shop is proudly based in Muscle Shoals, Alabama. The Tennessee River flows through the Shoals area, bringing a traditional homage to the name “Singing River.” We are extremely proud to recognize a piece of home into our brand name, as it has attributed to our passion for hunting and the outdoors.
The shop that we work in today was built by Mr. Bill Massey, who is now a retired gunsmith, where he dedicated decades of experience to excel in building Model 1911 .45 caliber pistols. His knowledge and skillsets for machining and paying attention to detail were passed down to his grandson, Russell Young. Together they created the machining practices that became the foundation of being able to fabricate duck calls, using the same tools and machinery that once produced some of the best firearms in the country. What once was the idea of “lets see if we can make a duck call” quickly became a systematic approach to chasing a dream of making duck calls better than they were the day before. The process of learning and understanding this hobby/business took many years to understand how things work, and we continue to strive to make our products better every day. Although most of our calls are produced by CNC machinery moving forward, the design process and prototyping is still done in our small shop.
